How accurate are the numbers?
They come from an hourly simulation of your roof geometry, your usage pattern and current Victorian tariff structures — 8,760 hours a year, 25 years forward. They are engineering estimates, not quotes; your installer confirms final numbers.
What does it cost to use?
Nothing, ever. The analysis is free and needs no account. We may earn a referral fee if you switch plans or take a quote — it never changes your price.
Do I have to give my contact details?
No. The full analysis runs without any contact details. We only ask for them if you decide to go ahead — and only the installers you name will ever call you.
What rebates are included?
Federal small-scale certificates (STCs), the federal battery rebate (which steps down on 1 January), and the Solar Victoria rebate of up to $1,400 — subject to eligibility, including household income under $150,000.
What's the 5:30–9:30 pm window about?
Victorian plans increasingly pay a premium for power exported in the early evening, when the grid is stretched. A battery holds the day's sun for exactly that window — it's a big part of why solar built today out-earns solar built years ago.
I rent — is any of this useful?
The roof is the landlord's call, but the power plan is yours. The plan check works without solar, and switching alone often saves a few hundred dollars a year.
